1.Coverage and installation of wireless AP
Rows of metal shelves in indoor warehouses can absorb and shield wireless signals. Typically, directional antenna APs are used on either side of an aisle, or tubular APs to cover the aisle;
IP67 APs for outdoor use are required for outdoor open warehouses.

Functional requirements: Seamless roaming, full signal coverage without blind spots, high stability of wireless network;
Key points of design: Wireless controllers must be redundant and support Layer 2 roaming and Layer 3 roaming;
Equipment selection: The deployment of omni-directional APs in suspended ceilings can be adopted. APs can be deployed on pendants if your warehouse has a high ceiling (about 10m).
If there is no high shelf and goods are stacked in your warehouse, omni-directional APs can be deployed in its ceiling;
If high shelves on either side of each aisle in your warehouse and signal coverage in aisles is required, signal shielding, absorbing and reflecting effects of metal shelves must be considered. It is typical practice to use directional APs on either end of each aisle, or deploy tubular antenna APs above aisles.
