The first batch of evaluation results of digital technology application and innovation competency in China were released recently after evaluation by the Science and Technology Evaluation Center under China Technology Market Association. ECCOM was certified for CNIETS-1. The evaluation results demonstrated its industry leadership in information engineering and technical service competency.
This standard aims to implement the decision-making arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to promote the modernization of national governance system and governance capabilities with information technology, deepen the integration and development of the new generation of information technology and manufacturing industry, create new advantages in the digital economy, improve the supply quality of information technology services, standardize and direct the modernization level of the industrial chain in information engineering and technical services.
This standard is drafted together by Peking University and Chinese Academy of Sciences as well as other universities, research institutes, well-known Chinese research and certification institutions. The CNIETS certification is divided into five grades, including Excellent, CNIETS-1 and CNIETS-2. The evaluation can be used to measure the information engineering and technical service competency of central enterprises, NPOs, other enterprises, institutions and associations from four aspects: basic competency, technical competency, service competency and operational competency. The competency evaluation certificate will serve as a reference for bidding agencies to select service providers, make policy decisions, and grant credit to financial institutions. The certificate reflects the digitalization and informatization level of an organization itself, its credit and brand credibility.
