At the Partner Summit, Cloud and Collaboration were a major topic, as Cisco further emphasized the importance of partnership and continued channel innovation, building of strategic relationships with global partners, help implement partner-led strategies, and the establishment of more streamlined transaction processes in 2012.
In addition, Cisco also launched a new Partner Plus program that will focus on Smart Services strategy and service planning. Smart Services will help customers collect, analyze, and provide intelligent solutions. This new service will be one of the most significant changes for Cisco since its’ founding in 1998, and will be the cornerstone for innovation in their services portfolio.
Cisco CEO John Chambers remarked on Cisco's top three markets of interest for the future— Video, Cloud, Mobility. "Video has changed the structure of the industry, whether it is the cloud, software or services, Video applications will be the tools of the future.” said Chambers.
At the Cisco awards dinner on April 17th, ECCOM was awarded for it’s outstanding performance in the past year the prestigious Cisco Global "Best Cloud Partner Award". Cisco awards are categorized into three levels: area, district, and Global awards.
Global Awards are given to those who demonstrate best-in-industry business practices and are a model example for other channel partners. Awards are based on a variety of factors and include innovative business practices, applicable achievements, unique projects and/or programs, and relevant support and sales performance. All winners are Cisco’s Worldwide Channels partners and the award was presented to the world's top 16 partners from different countries and regions.
