The 10th annual Top 100 Software Companies by Revenue was published on June 23rd in Yangzhou. ECCOM Network System Ltd. was ranked 33rd with 1.65 Billion RMB in revenue, marking the fifth time ECCOM has made it on the list.
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has published the Top 100 list annually since 2002 ranked by revenue. From 2002 to 2011, companies listed have experienced an annual increase of over 35 Million RMB year-over-year, with a combined total revenue (combined Top 100 companies) of 313.5 Billion RMB in software sales.
This years meeting was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Software Service Division, Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau, Economic and Information Technology Commission of Jiangsu Province, Yangzhou Municipal People's Government, China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Software and Integrated circuit Promotion Center. Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Yang Xue Shan, pointed out that the software and IT services industry is facing major changes, and that businesses need to understand consumer needs, and capitalize on opportunities. Meanwhile, the industry should strive for "Twelve Five”, with the software and IT services businesses striving to increase 2010 's 1.3 trillion to 4 trillion (from 18% to 25% growth).
Presently, the software industry has garnered widespread attention, with the Top 100 focusing on transforming the industry, promote better management practices of Small to Medium Enterprises (SME), and the continued role of software parks in driving transformation of traditional industries, and integration of green initiatives to contribute to overall economic development. As part of the Top 100, ECCOM will continue to do its’ part to continually develop China’s information and software industry.
