During the official operation of the World Expo from May 1 to October 31, 2010, ECCOM continuously, efficiently and stably served for the news sharing platform of the World Expo International Broadcasting Center (IBC), the World Expo ticketing system and the World Expo coaxial network system, providing the most immediate service assurance.
In July, 2010, ECCOM participated in constructing the ticketing system for the Shanghai World Expo, which had worked stably for two months. During this period, the basic data transmission network of the Shanghai World Expo ticketing system was applied with Cisco technologies and equipment, successfully undertook the ticket checking data transmission for more than 10 million visitors, and achieved zero network interruption in the system operation, thus effectively guaranteeing the smooth operation of the Expo. The construction of this system involved the installation and commissioning of 13 ticket gates in the Pudong and Puxi Parks of Expo, covering a total of more than 20 conventional switches and more than 80 industrial switches.
In December, 2009, ECCOM and Shanghai Telecom jointly built a video call center system for the Shanghai World Expo, providing video customer service for deaf and dumb tourists attending the Expo.
